In Production - Doug to the Rescue

Aerial cinematographer Doug Thron is passionate about the environment and about animals.

He combines those two passions, using his ultra high-tech drone gear, Doug wades into the aftermath of forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc and helps locate animals who are lost, abandoned, injured, and left with little hope. We ‘discovered’ Doug in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas locating and reconnecting people and pets. We thought, this guy deserves to be on camera not just behind it! Curiosity Stream agreed.

We are currently following Doug as he travels from fire to flood and other rescue adventures, meeting like-minded animal lovers and climate experts who help us understand the cause and effect of all these natural disasters. Along the way, Doug reunites a first responder with his dog in devastated Louisiana. He rescues a badly burned kitty in fire-scorched Oregon, and helps locate and break up a puppy mill in Puerto Rico. 

The episodes are bite-sized stories that will warm your heart and remind you that Mother Nature runs the show but Doug saves the day.
