Joe is an Emmy-nominated writer, director and producer credited on over 30 hours of broadcast television for PBS, Discovery, History, Smithsonian, Travel, HGTV, Spike, and others. His work has taken him across six continents, from Andean peaks to the plains of Namibia to the Arabian Desert. 

Joe's recent credits include the 4-part PBS series, Native America, named by the Washington Post as one of the top ten shows to check out in Fall 2018. In 2019 Joe wrote, directed, and produced two 1-hour episodes of  Smithsonian Channel's groundbreaking new investigative historical series, America's Hidden Stories. Joe most recently wrote and directed a 1-hour film for Discovery International that follows a team of archaeologists trying to solve the mystery of 7,000-year-old monuments in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. His other notable work includes directing PBS groundbreaking 2013 mini-series, Coming Back, where he worked with best-selling author and retired Army Captain Wes Moore to document stories of U.S. combat veterans returning to civilian life. 

Joe's passion is telling powerful stories with compelling characters and arresting imagery.
